Species reactivity

Bovine, Canine, Chicken, Hamster, Human (Homo sapiens), Mouse (Mus musculus), Porcine, Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), Rat (Rattus norvegicus), Sheep; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.

Specificity and cross-reactivity

Detects a ~73kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Hsc70 on SDS-PAGE Western Blot, in samples from human, mouse, rat, bovine, canine, chicken, guinea pig, hamster, monkey, porcine, rabbit, sheep and turtle origins.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.

Purification method

Affinity Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.

Form/Appearance

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% sodium azide. Conjugated to Biotin.

Storage and shipping

Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add glycerol (40-50%)aliquot and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Tested applications:

ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)

Properties

Biotin conjugates can be detected by horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase substrates or anti biotin conjugated antibodies. Avidin and Streptavidin bind to the small biotin and are couple to HRP or AP for ELISA. To break the streptavidin Biotin bond we suggest to use a 6 molar guanidine HCl solution with acidity of pH 1.6.

Conjugation
